How to index documents and what it does
Indexing means making data accessible for the Matterial search. This is usually done automatically.
Documents and persons are stored in the database and the file system. The search can only find them, if their data is part of the index. Again, this happens automatically.
If something is not right, the system admin can re-index data and documents, if they decide it is necessary. This means deleting all data from the search index, running the search index anew and saving all data.
The system admin can do this in “Administration”.
